C. versicolor - (Walckenaer, 1837) (Guadeloupe, Martinique)
Probably the most colourful of the genus, C.
versicolor spiderlings are bright metallic blue and as the spider grows, this colour turns to vibrant green and wine red. Relatively small (around 4" in legspan), they are docile but can sometimes be hard to maintain in captivity due to their need for high humidity and good ventilation. Easy to breed, captive bred spiderlings are regularly available.

C. laeta - (C.L. Koch, 1842) (US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Cuba)
